Let It Snow

I was discussing this with my lovely girlfriend Julie the other day and thought it deserved a blog. So here…I blog.

As I was driving to work on Tuesday the newscaster was discussing the possibility of additional snow scheduled for the day/ evening. I let out a sigh….gosh, more snow?! No! You see I was traveling for work & didn’t want any delays and didn’t want to be inconvenienced and frankly, I’m just tired of the white stuff.

As quickly as I became irritated is as quickly as I started to feel guilty. I was feeling guilty, because although Caden isn’t a fan of the cold, he does enjoy when it snows. Every time is starts snowing he says “Look Mommy it nowing! It nowing Mommy!”

Sometimes it pays to look at life through the lens of a two year-old. A good reminder to me to slow down, be thankful and find beauty and excitement in the little things. My two year-old radiates positivity and I aspire to be more like him. He teaches me something every day. Kids are pretty amazing teachers if you listen.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
